Hi! My name is Michaela and I started this Jewelry business two years ago, when I was fourteen. Now, it’s named ETC for two reasons. The first is because when my mom asked me to describe it, all that I could think of besides jewelry was ETCetera. The second reason its name is ETC is because I am trying to Earn Tuition for College.
I want to have a double major: Linguistics and Music. Not many schools that I know of have a good program for both. But the ones that do are rather expensive. That’s why I’m trying to earn tuition money through this business.
My mom is a designer and has had garments in runway fashion shows. My mom has even made boots. I started down the path to designing things as well when she started working with me on 4H Decorate Your Duds projects. Now, I’m designing clothing myself. I like to make myself one of a kind Renaissance dresses, complete with ornate trim and beadwork and l also like to knit and crochet things as well.
We may have started with jewelry, but now we’re branching out into handbags, decorative hair accessories, and creative clothing. Watch the blog for new and exciting things we are doing.
